General Questions

  • YMCA BC Learn is YMCA BC's online learning platform that expands access to sought-after programming, helping people to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential, and strengthening our communities both locally and nationally.

    At launch, YMCA BC Learn offers our Child Care Resource & Referral (CCRR) continuing education credits, as well as the Responsible Adult accreditation course to support caregivers, educators, and anyone looking to build skills that make a difference in children's lives. As we move forward in 2026, the platform will expand to include healthy living and leadership development programs.

    YMCA BC Learn is completely free to sign up for! Some courses are fee-based, however, many are free to take, including our Child Care and Resource and Referral courses.

    YMCA Ignite is now run by the YMCA of the Greater Toronto Area.  



    1. Click the "Sign Up for Free" button on the home page banner.  
    2. Fill out your information
    3. click "Sign Up"
    4. Alternatively, click "Sign In" on the upper right corner and then "Create a New Account"
    1. Click your profile (top right). 
    2. Select My Account. 
    3. Click Password. 
    4. Enter your current password and new password. 
    5. Click Update. 
  • - Fully online and self-paced 

    - Start anytime 

    - Approximately 20 hours to complete 

    - Certificate issued after completion 

    - No in-person or practical component 

  • Enrolling and Starting Your Course

  • Click on the course or bundle you'd like to enroll in under "All Courses." Press the red button that says "Buy" or "Enroll for Free."

    You will be led to the checkout page automatically if payment is needed. Please complete the section with your billing information and then press "Complete Purchase."  

  • Try the following: 

    1. Open Google Chrome
    2. Open a New Incognito Window. 
    3. Go to learn.ymcabc.ca
    4. Type your email and password manually (no autofill). 

    If it still doesn’t work: 

    - Try a different device 

    - Update Chrome and your device software 

    - Take a screenshot and submit the support form HERE  

  • If you enrolled in the wrong course and would like to un-enroll, please submit the support form HERE  

  • Our courses moved to the LEARN platform on January 1, 2026. 

    If you were registered in the latest Responsible Adult course (August 2024 version): 

    - Go to learn.ymcabc.ca 

    - Select Forgot Password 

    - Your course should appear in My Dashboard 

    If you registered before August 2024, the older course was not transferred, and you will need to register again. 

  • Certificates

    1. Click the arrow next to your name. 

    1. Select My Account. 

    1. Click Certificates in the left menu. 

    If you don’t see it: 

    • Ensure the course shows as Complete 

    • In Responsible Adult, you must click the certificate release button in Module 5

    1. Go to your profile 
    2. Click "My Account." 
    3. On the left sidebar, click on certificates. 
  • - Certificates display the name used when you created your account. 

    - Update your name in My Account for future certificates. 

    - To update your current certificate, complete the correction form HERE  

    - Certificates are updated within 48 hours. 

  • Purchasing Courses as Gifts, or Enrolling Others in a Course

  • When purchasing for another person: 

    1. Do not log in to your account. 
    2. Purchase the course normally. 
    3. Select “This is a gift.” 
    4. Enter the participant’s name and email. 

    The participant will receive an email to claim the course and create their account. 

    If they don’t see the email, ask them to check spam/junk folders. 

  • Yes. 

    - Discounts apply for 10, 20, and 30+ courses 

    - Automatically applied at checkout 

    - Must be purchased in one transaction 

    Bulk purchasers become Seat Managers, allowing you to track and assign course seats.

  • The Responsible Adult course is already priced below industry standards, so we do not currently offer subsidies.

  • Refund Policy

  • You may request a refund within 14 days of purchasing the course, provided that you have not completed more than 20% of the course content.

  • Please complete the support form HERE with your purchase details and reason for the refund request. Please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to be processed once approved.  

  • Refunds will not be granted if more than 20% of the course content has been accessed or if the request is made after the 14-day period.
