Welcome to the Child Protection Course: "See Something, Hear Something, Say Something.” This course is designed to help you keep the people, especially the children, in your care safe.
Learn to recognize the different types of abuse you may see or hear about as a child care provider.
Learn how to report possible abuse using a simple acronym: CDR or Confidential, Document, and Report.
Learn what details to include and leave out of your report when documenting concerns of abuse.
By the end of this module, you'll understand why it’s important to keep the details of reports and possible abuse confidential and the impact a lack of confidentiality can have on everyone involved.
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to: recognize your thoughts and feelings when you suspect abuse; distinguish between your feelings, biases and the correct legal and ethical actions; and understand your duty to report.
Let's take everything you learned from the previous modules and put it together in a final scenario-based learning example!
